Welcome to Fast Key Services Lowe and Fletcher Keys page
Lowe and Fletcher Keys supplied by Fast Key Services Ltd, the UK's largest supplier of keys and locks for office furniture. Lowe and Fletcher keys. Lowe and Fletcher specialise in affordable, high-quality office storage supplies. Products range from metal filing cabinets to full-size wooden desks with several locking drawers. Lowe and Fletcher keys and Locks combos include budget-friendly Cam Locks, Rim Locks, and pin and tumbler locks.
Lowe & Fletcher Cam Locks
Lowe & Fletcher Cam locks are an office staple due to their versatility and affordability. This basic lock comes with a pre-set combination pattern. Users enter a key into the base that fits the combination pattern to activate the cam lever and open the latch. Lowe and Fletcher Cam locks typically have a very low amount of differs, the number of potential lock combinations. Several Lowe and Fletcher cam locks have differs of around 100 or 200, and this low number makes the lock susceptible to lock picking. All locks come with a standard key. Some models also offer a master key.
Lowe & Fletcher Rim Locks
Lowe and Fetcher Rim locks work well on vertical filing cabinets due to their vertical design. They consist of box-shaped lock base, a vertical attachment bar, and a latch. Rim Locks, as their name suggests, go on the rim of a filing cabinet drawer. They are essentially modified mortise locks; the lock type commonly found on front doors, except that rim locks use a latch instead of a deadbolt. This design provides greater security than the cam lock because it uses an advanced combination system. Many of the Lowe and Fletcher rim locks have differs of around 5,000 for standard keys. This system also uses master keys capable of opening several different locks. The size of the lock is its biggest downfall since rim locks do not fit properly on small drawers.
Pin and Tumbler
The pin and tumbler lock is a modified version of the cam lock with additional security features. For example, the Lowe and Fletcher 9 pin cam lock uses the traditional cam lock as its design base. However, the lock mechanism contains nine separate pins cut to various lengths. This creates a puzzle in the internal lock system that makes it very difficult to pick. Only the correct key opens the lock.
The extra security measures seen in the pin and tumbler design, as opposed to the normal cam lock design becomes clear when looking at differs. The 9 pin lock has 10,000 differs, making it even more secure than the rim lock. Its internal lock chamber responds only to the precise combination given to the correct key.
Master Keys
Lowe and Fletcher offer master keys on some of their locks. A master key has the ability to open several Locks at once, but this only work with locks of the same key series. Therefore, if an office manager wants to have one master key that opens every lock in the office, he or she needs to purchase locks that use the same model. Lowe and Fletcher keys and lock combos allow customers to secure their office. The lock and key types vary according to their security features and attachment settings. Developing a security plan to address all issues helps customers identify which products best suit their needs.
